Recognition Highlights Innovation, Leadership, and Industry Impact in Media Technology

Las Vegas, NV — April 2026 — Digital Joy, a leading cloud-based media technology company, was recently named Best Start-Up at the 2026 IAMT Impact Awards, held during the NAB Show in Las Vegas. Presented by the International Association of MediaTech (formerly IABM), the awards recognize the people, projects, and products shaping the future of MediaTech.

As the inaugural winner of the Best Start-Up category, Digital Joy was honored for its innovation in delivering simple, flexible, cloud-based solutions that power the entire content lifecycle—from planning and production to distribution, cost management, and audience engagement.

“Start-ups are the lifeblood of innovation and creativity in the Media & Entertainment industry,” said Saleha Williams, CEO of IAMT. “It is an honour to recognise Digital Joy as our inaugural Best Start-up Award winner. Tracey Shaw and the team embody the very essence of what startups bring to MediaTech—bold thinking, creativity, and the drive to challenge and reshape the industry.”

Digital Joy President and Co-Founder Tracey Shaw expressed gratitude for the recognition and the team behind the company’s success.

“I am so honored and grateful that Digital Joy has been named the IAMT Impact Award winner for Best Start-Up in the inaugural year of this reimagined program,” said Shaw. “This recognition is truly a reflection of the people behind Digital Joy—the creativity, dedication, and bold thinking that fuel everything we do. It validates not only what we’ve created, but how we’re thinking about the future of this industry—one that requires simplicity, flexibility, and a stronger connection between technology and storytelling.”

Over the past year, Digital Joy has delivered significant innovation to the media industry, including the launch of Insight, a purpose-built FinOps and cloud governance platform, and Digital Joy Newsroom, a next-generation NRCS built natively on Grass Valley AMPP. The company has also expanded strategic partnerships with global media leaders, helping organizations better create, engage, and optimize content in an increasingly complex digital landscape.

Louis Hernandez Jr., Founder and CEO of Black Dragon Capital, praised the company’s achievement and leadership.

“Digital Joy represents exactly the kind of innovation our industry needs,” said Hernandez. “Under Tracey’s leadership, the team has built solutions that not only address today’s challenges but anticipate where media and technology are going. We’re proud to support a company that is delivering real impact and helping shape the future of MediaTech.”

The IAMT Impact Awards celebrate excellence across the MediaTech ecosystem, recognizing organizations and leaders driving meaningful progress in technology, production, and business transformation. Digital Joy’s recognition as Best Start-Up underscores its growing role as an innovator in cloud-based media solutions.

The company also congratulated its partner Grass Valley and its CTO, Ian Fletcher, who received the MediaTech Leader Award at this year’s ceremony.
