Job Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Front-End Developer to help bring our SaaS newsroom control system to life. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and optimizing user interfaces that support real-time content management, workflow automation, and video streaming. This is an opportunity to work on an impactful product, helping to transform how media professionals manage and deliver news.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user interfaces for a newsroom control system, optimized for the fast-paced demands of media environments.
- Work closely with designers, product managers, and back-end developers to deliver cohesive, visually appealing, and functional UIs.
- Integrate AWS video services into the front end (e.g., MediaLive, MediaPackage) to support seamless video streaming and media management features.
- Write clean, modular, and reusable code with a focus on maintainability and scalability.
- Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs to improve user experience based on feedback.
- Ensure compatibility across various devices and browsers, optimizing for performance and accessibility.
- Collaborate in the design process to ensure that user needs are met while keeping the interface modern, intuitive, and aligned with product goals.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in front-end development, preferably within SaaS or media-oriented applications.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
- UI/UX Knowledge: Experience with responsive design, user-centered design principles, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Media and Video Integration: Familiarity with video player libraries and AWS services related to media, including AWS Elemental MediaLive and MediaPackage.
- Optimization: Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for frontend applications, including lazy loading, caching, and minimizing load times.
- Tooling: Experience with modern front-end build tools and package managers (Webpack, NPM, Yarn).
- Testing: Proficiency with front-end testing tools (e.g., Jest, Cypress) to ensure high-quality code.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with video and media workflows or familiarity with content delivery networks (CDNs).
- Understanding of backend integration with RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
- Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for collaboration with design teams.
